Terms of Service

Welcome to MusNikah ("MusNikah", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MusNikah website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use MusNikah.

1. About MusNikah

MusNikah is a UK-based Muslim marriage introduction platform designed to connect single Muslims seeking marriage. We are not a marriage bureau, matrimonial agency, or dating service that guarantees introductions, matches, relationships, or marriage.

2. Eligibility

To use MusNikah, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be legally permitted to marry in your country of residence.
  • Be single, divorced, widowed, or otherwise legally free to marry.
  • Use the platform solely for genuine marriage intentions.
  • Provide accurate and truthful information.

You may not use MusNikah if you are:

  • Married and seeking an additional spouse where prohibited by law.
  • Using the platform for casual dating, friendship, or non-marriage purposes.
  • Acting on behalf of another person without their consent.
  • Subject to sanctions or prohibited from using online services under applicable laws.

3. Professional Community

MusNikah is intended for professional Muslims and individuals serious about marriage. We reserve the right to determine whether an applicant meets our community standards and may refuse or remove membership at our discretion.

4. Account Registration and Verification

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information.
  • Keep your information up to date.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • Complete any identity verification processes requested by MusNikah.

MusNikah may request:

  • Government-issued identification;
  • A selfie verification;
  • Employment or professional verification;
  • Additional information to verify authenticity.

Verification does not guarantee the accuracy, honesty, intentions, or conduct of any user.

5. Our Matching Service

MusNikah may provide:

  • Curated weekly matches;
  • Profile recommendations;
  • Compatibility suggestions;
  • Messaging and communication tools.

We do not guarantee:

  • Matches;
  • Compatibility;
  • Responses from other members;
  • Engagements or marriage outcomes.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information.
  • Create fake accounts.
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse another user.
  • Share another person's information without permission.
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes.
  • Solicit money, investments, or financial assistance.
  • Engage in fraud, scams, or deceptive behaviour.
  • Upload offensive, illegal, discriminatory, or explicit content.
  • Circumvent our anti-ghosting, matching, or verification systems.

7. Serious Intent Declaration

By registering, you confirm that:

  • You are genuinely seeking marriage.
  • You intend to pursue introductions respectfully and in good faith.
  • You understand that dishonest or misleading behaviour may result in immediate account termination.

8. Anti-Ghosting Policy

MusNikah encourages meaningful engagement.

Members are expected to respond to matches within the timeframes set by the platform. Failure to engage consistently may result in:

  • Reduced visibility;
  • Temporary restrictions;
  • Suspension of matching privileges;
  • Account termination.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of the information and content you upload.

By uploading content, you grant MusNikah a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and process your content solely for operating and improving the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content.

10. Safety and User Responsibility

You acknowledge that:

  • Online interactions carry inherent risks.
  • MusNikah cannot guarantee the identity, conduct, intentions, or honesty of members.
  • You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users.

You should:

  • Exercise caution when sharing personal information.
  • Conduct your own due diligence.
  • Meet others safely and in public places initially.

11. Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Impersonation.
  • Identity fraud.
  • Catfishing.
  • Harassment or discrimination.
  • Sending unsolicited advertisements.
  • Using bots or automated systems.
  • Attempting to bypass security measures.
  • Collecting user information without consent.

We reserve the right to investigate and report unlawful activity.

12. Subscription and Payments

Certain features may require a paid subscription.

By purchasing a subscription:

  • You agree to the pricing displayed at purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

Where subscriptions are purchased through Apple or Google, their payment terms and refund policies also apply.

13. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or your app store account.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

14. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Breach these Terms;
  • Provide false information;
  • Engage in abusive conduct;
  • Pose a safety risk to other users;
  • Damage the integrity of the platform.

We may remove content or terminate access without prior notice.

15. Intellectual Property

The MusNikah name, logo, branding, software, design, and content are owned by MusNikah Limited and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute our materials without written permission.

16. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using MusNikah, you consent to our processing of your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR.

17. Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MusNikah disclaims all warranties, including:

  • Merchantability;
  • Fitness for a particular purpose;
  • Continuous availability;
  • Accuracy of user information;
  • Successful matching or marriage outcomes.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MusNikah, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses;
  • Loss of profits or opportunity;
  • Emotional distress;
  • Actions of other users;
  • Personal injury arising from interactions between members.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

19. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold MusNikah harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service;
  • Your breach of these Terms;
  • Your interactions with other users.

20. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Where changes are material, we will notify users through the app, website, or email.

Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
